Manager, Compliance

JOB SUMMARY

To ensure EMTS complies with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry standards. The role involves developing compliance frameworks, monitoring adherence, and providing guidance to mitigate compliance risks across the business.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Tactical

Compliance Framework & policy Management.

·        Assist in articulating EMTS’s compliance policy and in driving organisation-wide adherence.

·        Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.

·        Champion alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

 

Operational

•          Conduct compliance risk assessments across business units.

•          Develop and update EMTS’ compliance matrix to ensure that compliance roles, responsibilities and timelines are adequately communicated to the business.

•          Recommend and implement corrective actions to mitigate compliance risks.

•          Escalate all potential and known compliance violations to the Head, Corporate Risk & Compliance.

•          Liaise with relevant units/functions in ensuring adherence to EMTS’s compliance framework.

•          Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees.

•          Promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

•          Coordinate compliance audit exercises across the business.

•          Ensure an excellent relationship is built with mid and senior level managers across all divisions & departments in EMTS.

•          Ensure adequate training and development is delivered to team members on compliance related issues.

•          Investigate compliance breaches and recommend remedial actions.

•          Prepare/compile and submit agreed periodic activity and compliance performance reports for the attention of the Head, Corporate Risk & Compliance.

•          Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head, Corporate Risk & Compliance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


•          First degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

•          Postgraduate/professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.

•          Six (6) to eight (8) years post NYSC work experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.

•          Knowledge of Telecom sector and current trends in the Industry

•          Good knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards

•          High ethical standards and attention to detail

•          Good Presentation & Interpersonal skills

•          Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
